Schiff Stories of Impact

Introducing Schiff Natural Lands Trust’s segment called “More Than a Place: Schiff Stories of Impact”. With the growth of social media, we plan to conduct interviews and create spotlight stories honoring the people whose lives have grown alongside Schiff. Posted twice annually here, but also on our social media platforms, it is our intention to share the stories of people in our community who have been forever changed by their connection with this extraordinary place.

At Schiff Natural Lands Trust, we believe nature has the power to shape who we are. For many, visiting Schiff Nature Preserve and participating in the educational and recreational programs and events we offer, has been more than a place to visit, it’s been a classroom, an office, a celebratory space, a sanctuary, a second home.

Some visited here as wide-eyed children, while others found their way later in life as volunteers, program participants, employees, or walkers in the woods. No matter when they discovered Schiff, each story reminds us that the land protected by Schiff gives way to a multitude of meaningful experiences for those who spend time here.
