Year End Appeal
For more than 41 years, Schiff Nature Preserve has been a place where nature, education, and community come together. Every trail walked, every educational program offered, and every wildlife habitat restored is made possible by supporters like you.
As we look to the future, our Year End Appeal asks for your help to strengthen Schiff’s staffing and volunteer resources.
This year, our board dedicated significant time and resources as we developed our newest Strategic Plan. Please visit our website in early January to view our initiatives. Our small but dedicated team has worked hard to restore habitats, refine our recreational and educational programs, and advance our strategic goals, but the growing needs of the preserve continue to stretch our capacity. To care for the 780 acres of land and offer programs for the public, we must strengthen our staffing and volunteer resources.
With your year-end gift, you will help us:
Increase essential staffing to strengthen operations, support fundraising, and engage more volunteers.
Advance key initiatives in our 2026–2031 Strategic Plan, from wildlife protection and habitat restoration to trail care and infrastructure improvements.
Build long-term financial stability so the nonprofit and the preserve we care for stays healthy and thriving for years to come.

Corporate Matching Program
Double your contribution to Schiff! Your membership fee or gift to Schiff may be eligible for a matching gift from your employer’s corporate matching program.
Please check with your Human Resources or Community Relations department to find out if your company will match your gift. If you are retired or have served as a trustee in the past, you may still qualify to have your gift matched.
Fill out your company’s form and send it to us along with your gift and we’ll do the rest. Or, follow your company’s preferred protocol. You will be notified when your corporate gift match arrives.
"Your trails have been a Godsend for me through the pandemic as I hike frequently with my friend who is a member. Within a day or two we often notice a volunteer has done work in a particular spot. I want to support these efforts. The tree damage from the recent hurricane was startling; you are working hard to recover. I particularly enjoyed Janis's vast knowledge and friendly spirit as she led the Full Moon Hike. Wishing you all all the best, please stay safe.
